Alley Cats

The Alley Cats have received much attention outside the a cappella community, with appearances on the Arsenio Hall Show, the Richard Simmons video "Dance Your Pants Off," radio spots for Sunkist, and extensive performances for schools across California.

The group began in 1987 at Fullerton College in California. Since then they have appeared on stages all over the United States, at festivals and corporate events, and opening for such well-known acts as Chubby Checker and Sha Na Na. The Alley Cats received the 1999 award for Best Doo Wop Song from the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards.
