Five O'Clock Shadow
Five O'Clock Shadow began singing together in the early 1990s, with personnel changing over the years. Two of the most famous vocal percussionists got their start with the group: Rockapella's Jeff Thacher, and Wes Carroll of The House Jacks, All About Buford and of course the hugely popular instructional videos. Samrat Chakrabarti contributed VP as well as the group's biggest "hit song," "What's It All About." When the group "retired" in 2004, David "Stack" Stackhouse was doing vocal percussion and bass - at the same time - as well as writing a number of the group's songs. Their extensive performances in high schools have helped fire up the next generation of performers.
