Rajaton


Founded in 1997 by six talented Finnish singers, vocal ensemble Rajaton has fast made its mark, both in concert halls around the world and with its albums. The objective of the group is to enrich the international a cappella scene with its fresh approach to choral music. Individuality and teamwork go hand in hand as all the members are experienced choral singers as well as distinguished soloists with diverse musical backgrounds. Besides performing music composed by group members, Rajaton continuously receives commissioned pieces from top Finnish and international composers. Given the crossover backgrounds of the artists, the repertoire is vast and varied. Concert venues extend from concert halls to churches and even to jazz clubs. The group is distinguished by ensemble virtuosity coupled with true warmth and richness of sound that can only be described as boundless (rajaton).
