This is a great collection of smoothly sung Christian music - "jazz style" - as performed by the now-renowned Voices of Lee. The mature sound that these college-age singers produce is amazing, fueled by arrangements by Derric Johnson, director Danny Murray and, on this album, Lari Goss. Orchestration accompanies some pieces, but it never overshadows the vocal work of this talented group. The album is a mix of studio and live recordings, alternating between elaborately scored numbers and quiet songs of praise. The album also features VOL alum Lester Rector as a soloist on a few tracks, including the now infamous "All Rise." This is a great album for anyone to get to know the ensemble's sound. (54:49 2004)
