The Soweto Gospel Choir is an all-star aggregation in the vein of Grammy-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo of top singers from South Africa's famous township -- Soweto. They've achieved breakthrough success in Europe (two sold-out shows at London's Royal Festival Hall!), Africa and Australia as their exhilarating voices create a blend of extraordinary beauty that thrills audiences everywhere.

From the liner notes:
"This 2007 release features a unique rendition of Bono/U2's "One" performed with Soweto Gospel Choir as part of the 46664 concert series for Nelson Mandela's Aids Awareness Campaign, a cause close to the choir's heart. This is just one example of the choir's versatility, whether the songs are religious or rock, they're sung from the heart."
