They say no one sings the old songs like they used to. The Alley Cats would beg to differ. With great energy and an old school sound, they're making their mark on a cappella and taking their place among the top doo-wop groups. There is something about their arrangements and clean-cut sound that is inexplicable. One could transport them back in time and they would fit right in. Notables are a very, very good arrangement of "Stand By Me" that will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck, "Only You," and " Smoke Gets In Your Eyes," two Platters hits that even the Platters would love, and "I Really Love you," a peppy little song that ends the album.
