Cadence: Twenty for One (CD)
Be the first to review this product
This eagerly awaited 2nd CD for Cadence does not disappoint. "Twenty for One" lives up to the high standards of production, arranging, song choice, and, of course, singing set in their first CD "Frost Free". Cadence has a charming way of putting their unique stamp on covers such as "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps" (originally done by Doris Day, believe or not) and "The Dry Cleaner from Des Moines" (Joni Mitchell). "True Colours" is lovely and sensitive, better than the original recording. "The Things We Do For Love" is true to the spirit of Freddy Mercury without being an imitation. There are several very strong originals on this CD as well. "Don't Fix What's Broken" by Dylan Bell is a catchy pop tune. "Sunshine" by Gillian Stecyk is light and happy. Good job all around and well worth the wait. This is Cadence's second CD, engineered by Juno Nominated Adam Messinger (who also produced their first album "Frost-Free."). (40:56 2005)
