The second holiday release by this male LDS sextet is just as tasty as the first, flavored nicely with maturity and experience. Opening track "Let it Snow..." is just delightful! Funky, jazzy, catchy, doo-woppy, complete with vocal percussion - what more could you ask for? It makes you want to cuddle up with whoever's closest, which is the whole point of the song, right?
"Joy to the World" uses a nicely original obligato to give a calypso flavor to the traditional carol; "Away in a Manger" goes back to the straightforward, traditional sound the group has cultivated so well; "White Christmas" has that awesome Drifters "do-doh...do-doh-doh" background, and sounds like the version you've heard in every holiday movie since 1950-something, complete with falsetto lead - SO much fun! On the traditional side, "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" will give you goose bumps - guaranteed. "Baby It's Cold Outside" features the talented spouses of the singers, in a lovely multi-couple musical argument, complete with cute little French interlude; "I'll Be Home for Christmas" gets a nice lounge-singer treatment that'll have you snapping your fingers right along.
The track list is a mix of sacred and secular holiday favorites, all with a gorgeous, blended male sound. Bonus tracks "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "The Night Before Christmas," "Tractin' in a Winter Wonderland" (alluding to their LDS mission experiences, no doubt), and a wonderful version of the (in)famous "Chipmunk Song" rounds out a lovely holiday treat. If you're looking for a somewhat traditional - but different enough to be interesting - small male ensemble style this holiday season, this one's for you. (2005)

"This CD is awesome. I still listen to this CD right now (it's September) because I like the Christmas songs first of all, and the intricacy of how they change each carol soo much and still make it sound awesome. There is a big difference betweeen this CD and their first "Jingles;" there is also some funny songs on the CD - definitely worth buying."
