The second Brethren CD, this one focuses on sacred Christmas favorites, mixing traditional choral arrangements (like "Salvation is Created" and "Sing We Now of Christmas") with contemporary pieces like "All is Well" (by Michael W. Smith) and the title track, written especially for The Brethren Group by Kentaro Sato. This group's sound is truly beautiful, with a rare blend and hushed intensity that compels the listener to pay close attention. Their a cappella version of "Salvation is Created" is absolutely goosebump-inducing, as is Niles' arrangement of "I Wonder as I Wander." No matter whether they're singing a cappella or with accompaniment (as on some of the tracks, see song list below for details), these men bring a heightened musical sensibility to their performance. Perhaps it's their ministry that inspires the quality of their sound; perhaps it's their passion *for* their ministry and their music. But whatever it is, these men have harnessed it and brought it into our homes and hearts with this gorgeous CD. Highly recommended!

There is some accompaniment on this item - not a cappella.
