David Eddleman has written a marvelously sensitive setting of this lovely Christina Rossetti poem. Originally an art song for solo voice, the solo line and melodic contours have been beautifully adapted to the a cappella choral medium. This is an elegant and touching choice for Festival and Concert programs. (Notes from the publisher's website)

"I have always been a BIG fan of Darmon Meader's but this piece takes me to the next level of "fan-hood." Exquisite, lush textures and easy to sing lines makes me and my students tear up every time we go through it. A real crowd pleaser as well. The audience hangs on every word if properly performed. BRAVO!"

Sentimental Feeling

"I am currently a senior in high school and last year I had the great opportunity to work with Darmon Meader himself at the 2007-2008 IMEA All State Jazz Vocal Ensemble. He was the guest director for 32 wonderful students out of the entire state of Illinois. This song is sentimental to me because we 32 students were the first group to sing his arrangement of this song. Let me tell you. During rehearsals he made us close our eyes and just listen to the music and the words. It is absolutely beautiful."
