Take a far out ride through the 60s and early 70s with the EDLOS. There are some very clever adaptations of songs we have never heard arranged a cappella before such as Jethro Tull's "Aqualung", Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit", Led Zeplin's "Stairway to Heaven" (all 6 minutes of it) and - would you believe - "Tequila", trumpets and all? There are also a couple of a cappella standards done with a twist such as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" (they call it "Wimoweh"). "Hurdy Gurdy Man" is sung employing a vocal technique explored in the Baroque period called "hocket" according to the liner notes. It's a very interesting choice because it almost sounds like an exaggerated version of Donovan's own style. There are not a lot of slick production techniques or effects used on this CD, but there are very creative a cappella arrangements of some pop classics.(2003 43:46)
