Song # 3 of 7 titles in Carols of the Nativity. The Huron Carol is believed to be the first Canadian Christmas carol. It was composed in 1643 by Father Saint Jean de Brébeuf and was intended as a present for the Huron people. Originally penned in the Huron language, this carol was eventually translated into French, then to English. This arrangement uses the Huron language w/ English translation
