From Walt Whitman's poem, Unseen Buds, suggest a similar musical concept, ideally expressed by "Billions of billions, and trillions of trillions" of singers! This setting, although appearing difficult, can be performed easily by any mixed choir. It employs various notational and musical devices designed not only for maximum choral effect but also for ease of preparation. This piece was composed as a gift in the memory of Nina Cooke Cochran
