Here's the review for the original mix:

The Nylons are making a big comeback with this extraordinary pop vocal harmony recording,. The 11th release by the world’s first vocal band, "Fabric Of Life" is by far the most R&B flavored recording they’ve released. The group’s tight sound is fire-powered by the talents of Grammy award-winning songwriter/producer Ian Prince, who is both the album’s producer and writer of six songs (three in collaborationwith Nylon Garth Mosbaugh). Most of the tracks on the U.S. release are Nylonized a cappella - meaning there’s a crisp rhythm track and a bass undertone throughout. (Canadian and European editions are accompanied throughout).Highlights include a hip, rhythmic remake of "Ain’t No Sunshine" and a cover of "Let It Be" with Carribean and gospel overtones. Two of the accompanied tracks are slated for overseas single service: "I Can’t Go For That" by Hall & Oates hit Canadian airwaves and George Michael’s "Monkey" went to Europe (we like them even if they do include instruments). In the U.S., watch for the "Ain’t No Sunshine" video - this is the closest theNylons have been to Top 40 since they crashed the charts a decade ago! (39:09)

Here's the review for the Vocal Percussion Remix:

Two years in the making! Hot Lips Records brought together the powerful vocals of The Nylons with the rhythmic energy of eight of the world's best vocal percussionists (in alphabetical order): Wes Carroll (The House Jacks), Andrew Chaikin (formerly with The House Jacks), Owen Knudsen (Knudsen Bros.), Gabe Rutman (spiralmouth), Matthew Selby (formerly with m-pact), Joe Finetti (The Bobs), David Stackhouse (five o'clock shadow), and Jeff Thacher (Rockapella). Who do you like best? Or do you prefer TheNylons with tracks (there are some of those songs too)? And how well does vocal percussion mix with instruments (yes, some of that's here too!)?
