This mixed ensemble from Quebec provides an intriguing Christmas recordings. They're hip on"Happy Xmas (War is Over)," contemplative on "OCome, O Come, Emmanuel." They mix of traditional and modern,French and English (and one song with French, English, Spanish,Mohawk, Portugese, Italian and more!). Their arrangements areastoundingly unique. Their "Nuit de paix" ("SilentNight") goes from haunting to swinging, overlaying vocal rhythm on a boys choir background. And their rendition of theNutcracker, "Casse-noissettes" is absolutely hysterica l- a classic vocal tour de force! (44:31 1994)
