This is the earlier of two recordings we carry by South Africa's Navi Redd, and while in some cases, you can hear the advances between the first and second in production and maturity of the singers, we enjoy it just as much (and think you will, too).

Opening title track "Koorlog" is cool and kind of scary at the same time, injecting a sweet groove with a military theme (and these guys look pretty good in cammos, too - check out the liners, girls!); They cover a lot of different styles here, though, not just dance-hall pop - they've got a Disney medley, a Beach Boys medley, 80's hits "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" and "Footloose," some indigenous music with their "Afrikaanse Medley" (in their native language) as well as some other South African pieces. The last track pairs "Zombie" with "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in a very clever way that gives an inkling of what is to come on future recordings from this promising young group (see their 2nd CD "Voices").
