This five-song EP has two Christmas tunes on it, and three non-Christmas. All of them have that signature, Take Five, jazz-pop sound (take a listen to "Medley" if you don't know what their "signature sound" sounds like). "Silent Night" features a rockin' baritone solist. "Unchained Melody" will make you want to grab your hugger and dance the night away. "Nobody Knows" features a very respectable, soulful tenor solo layered over a swinging, doo-wop background. "White Christmas" starts out featuring their gorgeous low bass, and evolves into a vocal lounge-lizard, retro-60s Latin party, that morphs into a walking-bass jazz tune, and finally returns to its Bing Cosby roots. "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" features guest star "Nick the Nightfly" - maybe he's big in Italy? In any case, the jazzy, mixed-meter, Brubeck treatment ("take five" - get it?) of this Disney hit works very well. Pick this one up today for a little taste of what these Italian vocal chefs have to offer.(13:53 2002)
