This 2-CD reissue combines BOCA 99 and BOCA 2K (which are no longer available singly) into one jewel case.

BOCA '99
The tunes on BOCA '99, mostly in the rock/pop genre, cover the range from the smooth '70s (the Bee Gees' "How Deep is Your Love," sung by the Stanford Fleet Street Singers) to the rock of the '90s (Usher's "You Make Me Wanna," as done by U Virginia's Hullabahoos) A full 12 of the 19 tracks here were nominated in the '99 CARAs, including the U Penn Counterpart's haunting "I Can't Make You Love Me." Another favorite is one of two Paula Cole covers, "Bethlehem," ably delivered by the Tufts Jackson Jills. (73:27 1999)

The sixth installment is quite likely the most varied ever. It has some of the long-time greats: U Penn Off The Beat - who've been on every single BOCA! - with "Anything But Down," The Tufts Beelzebubs with "That's The Way (I Like It)/Get Down Tonight"). It also has the only Hindi college group, Penn Masala, with "Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyara Hai," Tufts' Jewish group, Shir Appeal, appears with a powerful cover of the Indigo Girls' chilling "This Train (Revised)," and Duke Out of the Blue brings even more passion to country's Dixie Chicks' "You Were Mine." There are also groups starting with a bang, selected for BOCA with music from their debut discs (USC Sirens' "Mummers' Dance," Northwestern Purple Haze's "And She Was"). The quality level of the college world is getting even better - nearly half the groups on BOCA 2K are appearing on a BOCA for their first time. (70:30 2000)
