This collection of live performances from the Harmony Sweepstakes Finals in May of 2003 has a little bit of everything - jazz favorites with a groovy twist like "My Funny Valentine" (by Boston Regional winners All About Buford) and "Straighten Up and Fly Right (by New York Regional champs Cadence), comedic gems from San Francisco Regional winners Moosebutter ("Star Wars" and "Psycho: The Musical") and Second Chance Singers (DVN's "Sand Down My Pants"), barbershop from hosts Perfect Gentlemen ("Gimme Some Skin") and Chicago Regional representatives Nightwatch ("Truck Drivin' Man" and "Yes Sir, That's My Baby"), and of course great vocal performances by Sweeps winners Idea of North ("Mas Que Nada" and "When She Loved Me"). Groove Society contributes some classic pop with "You're No Good" and "Listen to the Music." The performances are mostly high-quality, with just a few tuning flubs, but the actual recording quality is good all around. If you couldn't be there, this is the next best thing. (52:32 2003)
