Downtown Vocals straddles the line between fun and quirky well. Most the disc is delightful and varied selection, sometimes jazz, sometimes pop, including an energetic "Paperback Writer" and a fun "There Will Never Be Another You." Then they throw in the quirk, like the lounge-y "Love Boat" theme and "Meow Meow Meow Meow" (the Purina Cat Chow commercial theme song). (44:53 2001))
