Harmonic Convergence is the debut recording by this ensemble of a dozen mixed voices - most of whom look in their picture like they are only recently departed from college a cappella groups. Like many early efforts, the CD is simply produced - a dozen singers standing around a couple mics, with all the strengths and weaknesses of that approach. You hear them as they really are, with all their character and their non-processed human fallibilities. So this is a great choice for all of you who are tired of the "studio producer as artist" sound! The repertoire includes some original contributions ("Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps," "The Weakness in Me") as well as familiar covers (Sweet Honey's "Breaths," The Blenders' "Accidental Lovers").
