"Bear" going "so LOW" isn't news to anyone, but this SOLO recording just might raise a few eyebrows. Fans familiar with long-time Rockapella bass Barry Carl's previous recorded works won't find much that's familiar here - except for Carl's obvious vocal prowess. The songs included here are classical in nature, performed by just Barry singing and playing a fretless bass on some, accompanied by Ron Levy on piano on others. There are spirituals, sea chanties, chansons and even Mussorgsky pieces here, all pared down to their simplest elements. Take a listen and expand your horizons - downward, that is...(61:50 2004)
