This Swiss male septet is a group of professional singers (including one native Mainer) that have created quite an a cappella market in their part of the world. A-Live Music Company, under the direction of Peter Zehnder, has performed in and around Zurich, spreading the a cappella 'message'. As a result of all this singing, these guys are tight. Their cover of a cappella classic "Good Ol' A Cappella" is really nice - the tempo isn't rushed, their sound is relaxed and soulful - this one qualifies as a standout on the album. The intro, a James Bond spoof complete with a sexy female voiceover (which matches the album's graphic theme) is so close to the original, it's scary. "Crazy Love" is another candidate with its warm balanced sound. Most of the songs are in English, with the German "Ein Bett Im Kornfield" being the exception (sung by the lone American in the group, no less). Groovy "Kiss and Say Goodbye" features a great Commitments-style tenor soloist. There's even a very respectable Elvis impersonation by their Lebanese/French bass Jean Arab on "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You"! This album just leaves you feeling good all over.
