A-Live has always represented the total a cappella entertainment package - looks, arrangements, voices - all impeccable. On this 2003 Universal Switzerland release they've added "digitally savvy" to that list of impressive credentials and have included a seven-minute mini-movie on the CD! "Hosted by" Peter Zehnder, founder of A-Live Music Company, it introduces each group member and includes short interviews (in multiple languages, I might add; the only English bits are by Jon Colbath, a Maine native, and Oded Ben Horin, from Washington DC and Israel).

As with all the group's work, the CD is very professionally done. The production work on this disc is great! Granted, hearing a French chanteur singing AC/DC ("Hardrock Medley") and knowing he performs it in a tux (after viewing the video) is a little incongruous, but the actual vocal performance is spot on and really rocks when they want it to. A-Live can also melt your heart, as in Zehnder's original muti-lingual boy-band ballad "Cosa." There are five original tunes in all, four penned by Zehnder, one by bass Oded Ben Horin ("Baby Don't Leave Me") Jazzy "Trickle Trickle" is a finger-poppin' treat; the "Disco Medley" featuring title track "Stayin' A-Live," bits of "That's the Way (I Like It)," "Lady Marmalade," "Little Less Conversation," and Kool and the Gang's "Celebration" is just so good it's scary. They pay tribute to early rock 'n' roll greats in their Rockn' Roll Medley (with tunes by the Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, and Elvis among others). These guys have lots of soul and tons of fun and they definitely know how to convey that to anyone fortunate enough to hear them!
