Pick this one up for a dose of spirituality served up country-style by this male septet from Tennessee. Vocal Union's latest album proves that the term "contemporary Christian" is not an oxymoron. With slick arrangements and a stylish new look, these guys are very in tune with the contemporary a cappella pulse. Their vocal percussion is just as kickin' as any vocal band out there. Their lead vocals are solid. Their arrangements of these all-original songs, by veterans Gary Miller and Michael Forehand, highlight the great blend that these guys have. And their bass? Man! He sounds like the Oakridge Boys' bass with a cold - that's how low he can sing! The opening track alone is worth the price of admission, but you'll love the rest as well. "Get Ready," indeed!
