While the subject matter (gospel) is the same, the style is distinctly different from previous Zambian Vocal Group releases. For one thing, the group is larger this time around: 21 singers versus six to nine in the past. You know you're in for something different on the first track ("Tuke 'ngilamo Shani") as soon as you hear vocal percussion followed by an introduction that sounds like it could be a college group on one of the latest BOCA (Best of College A Cappella) CDs. This recording still has the wonderful African sound that this group is known for, but this time there is a pop influence that is immediately recognizable. The combination of influences is quite pleasant and enjoyable. (40:44 2003)
