Mostly a cappella, the 22 cuts here include some great moments. The SecondZion Four are clearly barbershopping on their self-introductory song, "TheSecond Zion Four Are We." The Southern Plantation Singers are unusual inthat it's a mostly women's group with a sole male on bass - and they mixspoken lead with singing on "De' Bones Gwine Rise Again." The WesleyFemale Trio gives an authentic rendition of familiar "Everytime I Feel DeSpirit," while a small male choir, the West Virginia Collegiate Singers,rollick on "Peter of the Sea." (60:14 1997)
