This full-length 2002 release by Minnesota's Marcoux Corner shows how they've matured musically, into their own sweet, smooth groove. Half of the 10 songs are originals, from the Ricky Martin/Rockapella-esque "Contemptible" to lyrical heart-candy like "In My Dreams" and "Changes." Their covers are right-on, like groovin' "Mustang Sally," funky "California Dreamin'" and live "Footloose." The production is clean, and the arrangements are interesting without being confusing. "Marcoux Corner came to a renaissance confernece I went to a year or so back and it was the best thing. I bought the album right after, if you love acapella music you will love this cd. these men are very talented and great at what they do!"
