Manhattan Transfer Live 1978 (CD)
Be the first to review this product
This dynamic live recording captures The Manhattan Transfer early in their career, just after the release of the third recording (Pastiche) with the well-known lineup. It features some tunes that we don't believe have made it on to any other released CDs, including fun "Snootie Little Cutie," bluesy "Bacon Fat," solo vehicles "In The Dark" and "Turn Me Loose," brief gem "Well Well Well" and mini-bit "Sunday" which is a 40-second a cappella interlude (their only unaccompanied track on this CD). With a full big band backup, the fab four also brings alive some of their all-time favorites, including "That Cat Is High," "Operator" and "Tuxedo Junction.l" (1978) Song List That Cat is High Snootie Little Cutie Four Brothers On a Little Street in Singapore Java Jive Walk in Love Chanson d'Amour Speak Up Mambo (Cuentame) 15 Minute Intermission In the Dark Je Voulais (Te Dire Que Je T'Attends) Sunday Candy Well, Well, Well Freddy Morris Monologue/Bacon
