This original is by New York Voices member Peter Eldridge and Susan Smith Cohen. From the composer's notes: "...it can be interepreted as either a calling home of a loved one on a spiritual basis or in a romantic sense. The bar lines are for practice purposes only, and the piece should be approached with as much freedom as the text allows. Straight tone is preferred. Directors and choirs may find it effective in rehearsal to build chords from the bottom up to insure accurate intonation." Two pages, scored SATB. Perf. time: approx. 2:15.
