The Four Freshmen were a fixture of '50's vocal jazz. On this previously unreleased 1962 set, they swing through many great tunes: "Lulu's Back in Town," "Paper Moon," "Candy," "Once in Love with Amy" and more. Most are accompanied (they all played instruments), but this recording includes a rare a cappella cut, "Their Hearts Were Full of Spring." An enjoyable jazz break (15 cuts in all). (32:49 1994)
