This CD is a 2005 release of two earlier Four Freshmen albums. The 1955 "Voices in Modern," which was hailed with a "Goodbye to Barbershop harmony" description, traded that style for more complex rhythms and harmonies. The second album, "Funny How Time Slips Away" was released in 1964 and consists of a mix of country-western tunes, broadway shows and three original Freshmen written songs. Funny how in spite of time slipping away, these "oldies" hold up, especially in the care of such accomplished fellas! (60:08 2005)
