This winning British barbershop men's chorus opens with a cheeky parody, "Mother-In-Law Medley" ("Yes Sir, That's My… Mother-in-law," "Your Mother Is Here To Stay" etc.) originally targeted at a singing judge! More standard is their impassioned performance of "Just A Cottage Small" (an Ed Waesche chart) - but they're not afraid to surprise the listener with a guest female soloist on "All The Things You Are." And their repertoire expands to include Bobby Vinton's "Blue Velvet" and Smoky Robinson's "My Girl" along with the "Skye Boat Song." As is typical on chorus CDs, several quartets make cameo appearances. Quite nice! (44:38 2002)
