This 1996 recording includes a number of nice stylistic variations on the classic gospel sound. It opens with "Can He, Could He, Would He" which fuses doo-wop, traditional gospel and contemporary styles with enjoyable results. Later, "I Sing The Mighty Power Of God" rings in a traditional hymn style, a rich bass solo gives "Rumor Mill" a dark contemporary overtone, and there's a country swing on "Don't Scatter Roses."
