Although we're including this wonderful album by 1990 champs Acoustix in the barbershop department, in fact this album has just a bit of barbershop - but tons of great vocal harmony. The opening title track is an accompanied piece by Kirby Shaw, and the second ("My Lord and I") borrows a Gaither Vocal Band arrangement (also accompanied). Continuing their broad survey of religious song styles, they have gorgeous Jim Clancy arrangements of "You'll Never Walk Alone," "The Lord's Prayer" and "Hymns of the Cross Medley (a cappella, with barbershop passages). There's a luscious new Gene Puerling arrangement of "Breathe on Me, O Breath of God" plus his Hi-Lo's arrangement of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot." They conclude with an opus medley of "Ode to Joy/Star-Spangled Banner/O Canada" with chorus (Toronto Northern Lights) and double quartet (both recorded by ASong List:
