This CD showcases the Iowa close-harmony vocal jazz group with the alto sax of Richie Cole. Phil Mattson's arrangements, including the Grammy-nominated "I Hear Music" and"Body and Soul" (written for the Manhattan Transfer), are featured on this mostly a cappella album. The group's strengths, i.e. vocal technique, intonation, phrasing, and the ability to handle challenging vocal material, are evident throughout. (44:11 1995)
