This CD is a celebration of the 30th anniverary of the Greensboro, North Carolina Grimsely High School Madrigal Singers. This CD is surely an outstanding example of what a creative and inspirational music educator can bring to young singers. The selections on this recording are drawn from performances of the group for the years 1995 through 1999, which means that the Director, Marta Force, is able to draw very high quality of technique and sound from a cross-section of classes. In addition to the very hard work of learning to sing these beautiful madrigals (and a handful of contemporary pieces)so beautifully, the kids also research and sew Renaissance costumes.
