This 1996 recording combines a contemporary pop/R&B sound, rich harmonies and strong original songs of faith. The opening chant "Way of Life," with voices cascading over voices, contrasts with rhythmic "Without Love." The old tale of the prodigal son is retold in modern R&B terms in "The Prodigal," with the lead wailing over dissonant background singers - great stuff! This recording is an impressive vocal band performance. (38:23 1996)
