Taking their name from the 19th century "combinations" of singers andsnake-oil sellers, this Colorado Vocal Jazz Society men's group is comprisedof Yale and University of Colorado alum who didn't get enough in school. Thisis a lovely collection of 1990 and 1994 recordings, ranging from "If I LoveAgain" to a lovely "Ease On Down The Road." They tip their collective hat toour favorite frog on "Bein' Green" and pay heartfelt respects with an"Ellington Blues Medley," but a highlight is the hysterical "MississippiSquirrel Revival."
