While many earlier recordings by Free Indeed and Jerome Williams (who again collaborates on this CD) were original works, this collection of gently listenable praise and worship songs is all material written by others. We've finally figured out why their songs invite you to sing along: all of the arrangements double the melody in both the soprano and the tenor, so you subliminally get that congregation sing-along feeling. These tunes also are given a contemporary feel by light vocal percussion and strong vocal bass - just enough to stir the rhythmic feel inside of you, not so much that it overwhelms or sounds like a rock band (i.e., it's not a true vocal band sound).
