Greene, Alan: The New Voice
Be the first to review this product
A 100-page "repair manual" of sorts for the voice, this book should be partof any singer's library. It gives clear, concise explanations of the actualphysical mechanisms that produce sound, the process of sound production, and ways to set up the vocal apparatus involved so you get the healthiesttone possible. Greene shows, through diagrams and musical exercises, how toproperly control and set up your vocal anatomy, with a real emphasis on"feeling" the sound. He addresses breath control, and the muscles behindit. He describes where the tongue is during singing, and what your jawshould (and shouldn't) be doing. This is a great start for anyone serioussinger or speaker that wants to get it right. With endorsements by HarryBelafonte and Walter Matthau, it comes highly recommended.
