Fresh from their win of the 2000 International Seniors Championship, Over Time brings us this celebration album. Though they refer to themselves as the "International Geezer Champs of the Universe," their performance belies any signs of geezerdom. Check out the snappy rendition of "No More Sorrow." Taking advantage of the writing skills of quartet member Jerry Harrison, and the arranging skills of member Mel Knight, this group has obviously worked overtime to present a sparkling and masterful album. If you'd like to hear Kermit the Frog as a Barbershop singer, this is the place to do so. After 150 years of SPEBSQSA membership, another group might be content to go on "autopilot," but every piece on this album is engaging and definitely worth a listen. (41:37 2005)
