These Sweet Adelines champs took their crowns in September 2003 and started recording this album at the top of their form… and wow, what form! The opener is one of those challenging arrangements only David Wright can conceive and very few quartets have the chops to perform - "All Aboard for Dixieland" (and what a ride!). The group was able to find sponsors to help them record a great album, so songs like jazz crowd-pleaser "Fly Me To The Moon/East Of The Sun" are individually sponsored. Except, that is, for their two "Weird" Al Yankovic spoofs - "You Don't Want Me Anymore" and "One More Contest" (both arranged by Jay Giallombardo and full of barbershop insiders' jokes). So if you're looking for world class women's barbershop, look no further than this CD! (35:38 2004)
