This CD is not billed as being in the barbershop style, but the director, arranger and many of the members have been involved in barbershop for years so the influence is unmistakable. This 19 member group is smaller than most barbershop choruses. Their size and soft, gentle blend gives them a sensitive sound not found in larger choruses. Traditional "O Little Town of Bethlehem" is sung sweetly but with a few harmonic twists that give it that barbershop flavor. "Mary, Did You Know?" is lovely. A very well-made recording. (22:43 2002)
