This recording straddles jazz and barbershop: the mixed quartet has lots of barbershop experience, but the repertoire, the arrangements and the styling are mostly jazz. They smoothly swing "Two Sleepy People" and "Dream A Little Dream Of Me." Then "So Wrong" has a country music color, Paul Simon's "Feelin' Groovy" is pop/jazz, and novelty song "The Red Corvette" has a barbershop feel. We especially like fun "Silly Songs Medley," with WWII classics like "Mairzy Doats" and "Frim Fram Sauce." Really well sung interesting arrangements of great songs… what more could you ask for?
