There ain’t no saint like a reformed sinner, and there isn’tmuch gospel as inspired as that performed by this choir from The AddictsRehabilitation Center (ARC) in Harlem. All a cappella, this recording willhave you clapping and shouting along, on songs like "ShadyGreen Pastures," "WadeIn The Water" and "JesusOn The Main Line" (11 songs in all). Sure, it’s not quiteas polished as a professional group (though it’s pretty darn good),but the faith and hope that shines through the singing here is like noneyou’ll find coming out of a polished, processed studio production.It had the Bill Cosby Show audience in tears, and you’ll be inspiredas well by the transformative power of music.
