The King's Singers tackle the works of 16th century composer Gesualdo, whose work has been seen in a new light during the 20th century after glowing reviews by the likes of Stravinsky and other musicologists. The pieces included here represent only a part of the liturgy for the Matins Offices on the final three days of Holy Week, the Triduum Sacrum. As usual, the King's Singers perform this material brilliantly.
