A wonderfully eclectic collection of a cappella! Chanticleer is lush on Sametz' contemporary "I Have Had Singing," flawless in the pieces by Gibbons, Tallis and Gabrieli. Their performance of three Strauss pieces is breathtaking. They also include traditional ("Shenandoah," "O Waly, Waly") Broadway (Berlin's "Blue Skies," Arlen's "Out Of This World"), and gospel ("Jesus Met the Woman at the Well") songs in their repertoire.
