Following the smash success of their first CD of hymns, St. Olaf follows up with another marvelous collection that should be enjoyable and useful for many church music fans and practitioners. The CD feels like a marvelous long Sunday full of great music. It starts with the stirring "All Hail The Power of Jesus' Name" which, like a number of tracks, is accompanied (in this case by organ and brass). The liner notes extensively comment on how the songs are programmed along three themes: "Confessional Roots" ("Lamb of God"), "The Story of God's Action" ("The Hills are Bare at Bethlehem") and "Our Response ("How Can I Keep From Singing").
