This CD is a compilation of two Columbia Records releases from 1956. Not surprisingly, most of the songs have been arranged by Norman Luboff. Most are very lightly accompanied. The arrangements tend to be comfortable interpretations of familiar songs. The choir sings very competently if a bit dispassionately. This is not so much a fault, but more a style of the era during which it was recorded. Listening to these tracks really takes one back to a simpler but perhaps less worldly time. There are 29 songs on this CD - well worth the price. (77:55 1999)
